As I write this today, soccer season has officially ended.
Dylan's team is going on to a tournament this weekend, but the season is done.
Part of me is happy we'll have our evening back, but part of me is sad to watch another chapter come to an end. I love being a soccer mom. I yell and cheer and whistle at the games and just love watching the kids play.
But our weeks went a little like this-
Monday take Dylan to practice, go practice with Allie and then go back to get Dylan. Makayla had practice on Tuesday's, then repeat Monday on Wednesday with adding in scouts and young women's, then repeat Tuesday on Thursdays. Friday we had off for mom and dads date night, then Saturday was game, game, game. A few Saturdays we had to split up because the games overlapped, and sometimes we'd get 4 games in.
Now Makaylas started basketball so theres always something!
I love how we learned what there was at each field. The kids knew what to bring to keep them busy during the long games. Lance was a trooper and loved going to most of the games. I don't think he ever complained.
At the end of one Saturday-
A Blue arrow, Twister and Fire.
Ages 5 1/2, 12, and 10.
And who can't love a soccer Saturday when you leave with a bag of goodies and a balloon?
You're going to wish these days hadn't gone by so fast....
