And a happy new year.......

Happy New Year-
The last day of 2011.
It seems the older you get, the faster times goes.
This year has been another one to remember, and makes me want to be better next year.
We spent the evening at the Hadfields home watching the ball drop in new york and shouting Happy New year with family and some friends.
Uncle Mike had a few fireworks we let off outside too!

Makayla with one of the cutest twins we love- Cecelia!

Cousin Christmas

Christmas week was full of fun.
On Friday night Teri Le and her kids came over for dinner and games.
Danielle brought her new game, Guesstures, and we had a fun time watching and guessing what we were acting out.
We played some Christmas games to, and kept the season going!

Dec. 25, 2011

After a YUMMY Christmas dinner at the Drapers house, we had a program, with the kids acting out the christmas story.  Makayla was Mary this year, and look how good Pyper sat as baby jesus!
The kids each had a little part, then we had a little talent show.

All of Quinns siblings, except for Kimberly, were here for christmas.  That meant at some times there were 16 adults and 24 kids in grandmas house.  What fun!
Cousins loved playing-

Aspen, Makayla and McKenzie have a good time together!

We took the crowd to the church building and had a great time playing ball and games.
Dylan made it to the final round in bump quite a few times!

Merry Christmas 2011

Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, La Di Da Di Di da....

This year Christmas fell on a Sunday so we did things a little different in the morning.
The kids woke up and had to wait in our room while mom finished getting ready for 9:00 church.
WE got ready quickly then the kids went down to see what Santa brought them!

Then they played for a bit, got ready for church and we went to sacrament meeting.  The primary sang prelude and the choir sang a lot of christmas songs.  It was a great meeting, then we all went home for a yummy breakfast, and the kids put their christmas Pj's back on to open presents!

Daddy was very excited to make treasure hunts for the kids this year.
Allie and lance searched the house until ending up in the garage finding this new Truck.  They were so excited!  Then Makayla and Dylan searched the house looking for their new Kindle Fires.  They have lots of fun playing on them and it was such a fun morning watching how excited they got to find them!

Before we went to Grandma and Grandpa Drapers house for dinner, some cousins came over to play, look at Makayla- she can't even take her eyes off her kindle to play with her new cousin Pyper!

Here's Allie showing her new truck to Sydney, Tate and Landon!
(by the way... if you call her truck a jeep, she will quickly correct you and tell you it is a truck, not a jeep.)

Christmas Eve....
When I was little we would go to Granny and Grandpas house on Christmas eve.  As long as I can remember we got new pajamas on Christmas eve.
We've continued this tradition with our kids, the night before Christmas they each get to open one present- and they are always excited to see what new PJ's they get!
This year they opened them up before we went to the Pierces place for Christmas Eve dinner.

When we got to the Pierces we went to the park to play and get out some energy before dinner, then had a yummy dinner and went home to try and sleep before the big day!

Dec. 21st, 2011 Nutcracker

Oregon Ballet Theater presents the Nutcracker
With Carolers from the Ridgefield Mother daughter choir

This was the third year we were able to go and sing at the nutcracker and then stay and watch the show.  This year we took a group form our ward and we had a fun time.  We had three practices before, and then we stood outside for 45 minutes singing in the cold night.  We had a fun time!

Makayla played a piano piece, then we went in and I took a picture of the girls before being told no cameras inside.
Kara, Makayla and Aspen.

This year Allie came with us, but she thought it was a little too long!
We drove through Mc Donalds for ice cream after and the girls loved it.
Another great way to get in the Christmas spirit.

Dec. 20, 2011 ZOO LIGHTS

Allie won the summer reading drawing at the library this summer.  She won the grand prize- a family membership to the Oregon zoo!
On tuesday the kids got out of school for winter break, so we went down to the zoo to see the Zoo lights.  This was our first time to go and we had a fun time.  We were there early enough to see some animals then we rode the train around the zoo looking at lights with popcorn and hot chocolate!

The QnA Drapers- dec. 2011
portland, oregon!

Thanks for reading so much this summer kids!
We're glad they picked Allies name so we could go to the zoo.  I'm sure we'll go more this year.
