Happy 3rd Birthday Lance!

On Thursday, April 21st the kids and I went in to wake up Lance and sing Happy Birthday!

The kids had all picked out a little present to give him, he was so excited to wake up to that excitement.

I asked Lance where he wanted to go for lunch on his birthday.

He said "to school."  I think he remembered taking Makayla lunch on her birthday, but he was set on going and was pretty excited about it.

First we met Dylan and his friends for lunch.  Now I just love these 4th grade boys.  They are such a great group of kids.  And they loved having Lance there for lunch.  They kept talking to him, and played a little game called, "Lance who do you like better?" To which Lance would point to one of the boys and some would cheer and some would moan, and they kept playing until Lance thought he was a rock star!

He wouldn't, however, sit by them for a picture.

Then the boys leave and the 6th graders came in.  They were just as excited to see Lance.  Kara had made him a paper origami crane and he thought that was great.

But, again, wouldn't pose for a picture.

I did make him stop for a birthday picture with sis before we left.

As we were walking out Allie said, "mom, can I come here on MY birthday?"

They had a fun lunch.

That night Dylan had a baseball game, so we made baseball cupcakes to share with the team.

Lance was so excited.  If I had known this day was going to be so exciting for him, I wouldn't have worried about having a little party over the weekend.  But he really wanted to have a 'Pirate Birthday'.

Lance really loves these boys and really looks up to them!

Saturday was party time.

He just wanted a couple of buddies to come over for a pirate party.

This cake was fun to make and he LOVED it!

We played pin the patch on the pirate.

And a pirate matching game:

We ate hot dogs, strawberries, and Pirate Booty, then had cake and ice cream.

It was a fun PARRRRty!

You always add an 'S' to every ones name: You'll says, "Allies, come play" or "moms, I can have a drink?"

You and Allie are the best of buds. When you get really happy you say, "Allies, lets hug!"

You Love yo have a BALL in your hand, or a bat at all times!

You don't need your binky any more!  You got sick with some sores in your mouth before your birthday and it hurt to suck the binky, so we just threw them all away!

You like to say, "OK moms" when I ask you to do something.

You still have a BIG smile, and we still LOVE when you start to giggle.

You're wearing 3T clothes, and size 7 shoes.

You think since you're 3, you need 3 of everything.

You love to go to nursery.

You love mommy!
